Who We Are

DryCleanIT was established in 2003, purchasing its first outlet in Kilkenny. In 2006, we built our head office on a greenfield site strategically located in Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, 2km from the M9 exit.

Centralising operations to a new production facility allowed management to concentrate all the expertise under one roof; effectively manage quality and control operating costs. This investment in central processing has allowed the company to provide safe and superior working conditions for its employees which in turn has resulted in higher levels of staff performance, retention, and process quality. This combined with an ongoing investment in staff training ensures we can provide a superior quality service to all customers.

DrycleanIT began with the belief of treating our customers with respect and dignity. Guided by principles such as integrity, responsibility and satisfaction, we quickly recognized the opportunity to help customers through difficult times by saving what they thought was lost with state-of-the-art equipment and a personal touch to restore happiness.

We continually invest in equipment, staff training, and process development.

We proudly serve our customers with an unequalled level of dedication and service, building relationships by our service team treating them like family and working with everyone involved to deliver a positive outcome in times of a disaster. Although it is our goal to minimise loss, what is most important to us is minimising stress for our customers.

Implementing our Quality Management System and adopting a process driven approach to running the company has allowed for a more structured and smoother running business.

This allows us to respond more quickly to the changing need of our customers and positions the organisation for growth and change. Our employee focused approach has allowed staff members to play an integral role in developing and managing our QMS. Having defined our key processes and procedures we can monitor our performance, analyse information and take the necessary corrective action.

Stephen O’Connor – Managing Director

An accountant by training Stephen has over 15 years’ experience in finance, IT and procurement with indigenous and multinational manufacturing companies. Over the last 20, he has played key roles in the following areas within the organisations he has worked.

Developing and executing business strategies to achieve short and long-term goals. Maintaining positive and trust -based relations with business partners, shareholders, and authorities. Developing and implementing business plans to improve cost-efficiency.

Overseeing the company’s business operations, financial performance. Assessing, managing, and resolving problematic developments and situations.

James O’Connor – Operations Director

Over 25 years experience in manufacturing, having held a number of senior roles including Engineering and Operations Management for both Irish and International companies.

He has extensive experience across a range of manufacturing and service industry sectors, coupled with a pragmatic business approach and an ability to translate theory into practice.

Deirdre Kenny – Office Manager

Deirdre has worked with us for over 10 years and essentially ensures the smooth running of an office on a day-to-day basis, including payroll and management accounting functions.

Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement and designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.

Suzanne Maher – Market Manager

Suzanne has worked with us for over 5 years and has been instrumental in driving the Bridal Gown cleaning division of the business into an exclusive nationwide service.

Suzanne oversees the management of the company’s website, social media channels, email marketing campaigns. She also oversees the logistics and is the point of contact for all our Brides.
